St. Francis of the Tejas Catholic Church, a Roman Catholic Church, is located in the piney woods and gently rolling hills of Houston County, Texas. Originally established in 1690, St. Francis of the Tejas was the first Catholic Church in what 147 years later would become Houston County, and was named after St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis, our Church, and our county are all rich in history. We invite you to come and share in that history with us.
St. Francis of the Tejas extends a warm welcome to all those searching for a deeper relationship with God and our Lord, Jesus Christ. Come join us for Mass - whether it has been a while since you last attended Mass, are considering settling here in Houston County, or are just passing through - all are welcome!
